Data Collection

Ghost Shell does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• No analytics or telemetry is used
• No data is sent to external servers
• No third-party services are integrated
• No cookies are set

Local Storage

Ghost Shell uses chrome.storage.local solely to save:

• Your selected theme preference
• Custom theme configurations you create

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to any external service.

Permissions

• Storage — To persist your theme selection across sessions.
• Host permissions (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com) — To inject theme styles into these sites. The extension does not read, store, or transmit any conversation content.

Conversation Content

Ghost Shell reads minimal DOM metadata (message count, page title) to display theme decorations such as headers and footers. It does not store, transmit, or process the content of your conversations.
