Offline-First

Everything important is built in. Knowledge, map tools, calculators and guides work entirely without an internet connection - in airplane mode, and during a blackout.

Optional downloads such as offline map packages, Wikipedia articles or a local AI model are fetched once while you have a connection - after that they work offline too.

Privacy by Design

  • No account, no server, no cloud - your data stays locally on your device (the only exception: the voluntary feedback form)
  • No tracking - no analytics or advertising SDKs, no advertising IDs, no profiling. Crash reports go through Sentry and can be switched off in the app
  • Encryption - vault with AES-256-GCM, messenger end-to-end (Curve25519 + ChaChaPoly)
  • Delete anytime - in the app or by uninstalling

Frequently asked questions

Does SurvKit really work completely without the internet?

Yes. First aid, emergency numbers, knowledge, tools, calculators and the messenger work fully offline - in airplane mode and during a blackout. Only optional downloads such as map packages, Wikipedia articles or the local AI model need a connection once; after that they work offline too.

How much does SurvKit cost?

The download is free, and you can use the app without restriction for seven days. After that, a single one-time purchase permanently unlocks the extended areas - no subscription, no recurring costs. The core emergency features (SOS, first aid, emergency numbers) stay free forever.

Does the messenger need a mobile network?

No. The messenger connects devices directly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct - without any mobile network, Wi-Fi router or server. All messages are end-to-end encrypted (Curve25519 + ChaChaPoly).

What data does SurvKit collect?

No usage data. There is no account, no server, no tracking and no analytics SDKs - all data stays locally on your device. Three exceptions: the voluntary feedback form, which only sends when you tap send, the processing of the in-app purchase, and technical crash reports, which you can switch off in the app. Details in the privacy policy.

Which countries is SurvKit made for?

The focus is on Europe: emergency numbers for more than 20 European countries, offline maps based on OpenStreetMap, and supply recommendations following the official guidelines of the German BBK.

Is SurvKit available for Android?

Not currently - SurvKit is available as an iOS app on the App Store (iPhone, iOS 16 or later).
